Student Union

Student Union

The Joyce Taylor Crisp Student Union was constructed in 1965 and acts as a community center for the campus.

The Student Union is the place where students can eat, hang out, enjoy structured activities and events, get their mail or visit the bookstore.

The building houses the Health Center, the faculty and student cafeterias, student organization offices, the university bookstore and the campus post office. It is also the home of the Office of Student Activities, which serves as a central hub for all student activities, overseeing campus activities, as well as scheduling and publicizing events.

The latest addition to the Student Union is the creation of the Bull Pen, a campus lounge featuring a pizza café (serviced by Papa John’s), pool tables, lounge areas, televisions and Wii console video game systems.

The second floor of the Student Union houses Grimes Lounge, a multifunctional space that JCSU uses to host conferences, dinners, receptions and other important events.
